Showplace of this work is the Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin, which is from urban planning and architecturally a symbol of the postwar era, and for the so-called »freies bauen«, and today also for a failed utopia of modernity. The film focuses on the inner circle of the roundabout, which is seemingly forgotten and ignored by most passers. A giclee print is shown and a sound is played together with the film, which both carry utopian-modernistic ideas on the functions of the place.
 

Schauplatz dieser Arbeit ist der Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin, welcher städteplanerisch und architektonisch ein Symbol der
Nachkriegsmoderne ist, für das sogenannte „freie bauen“ steht und heutzutage auch für die gescheiterte Utopie der Moderne. Der Filmloop fokussiert das Innere des Kreisverkehrs, das wie eine Leerstelle, scheinbar vergessen und von den meisten Passanten unbeachtet dort liegt. Zum Filmloop wird ein Giclée-Druck gezeigt und eine Tonspur abgespielt, die jeweils utopisch-moderne Vorstellungen zu den Funktionen des Platzes in den Raum holen.
